Requirements to apply:
**Degree in Library Studies or equivalent
**A masters is preferred but not essential
**At least 2 years working at the primary setting
**Be a native speaker of English
**Experience of the UK or IB curriculum is preferred

The school is located in Doha, which is the capital of Qatar. It is one of the most established British Schools in the region and is accredited by the CIS and International Baccalaureate and is a member of the BSME. The school mainly has Qatari students but with the increase of the number of expatriates coming to Qatar, the student population is slowly diversifying. The teachers are mainly from the UK and are native speakers of English holding QTS.
Job Description:
**Promote the use of the library throughout the school
**Ensure stock book levels are up to date
**Be able to organise and catalogue effectively to ensure students and teachers are able to find the resources they need effectively
**Be competent in using ICT system in the library
**Work closely with teachers to plan and organise classroom visits to the library to promote students learning
**Manage a Library budget for information services, technology and media
**Promote reading material to students
**Work closely with the senior management team to ensure books are ordered effectively and on time, in preparation for any changes in the curriculum.
**Prepare reports to present to the management team to show evidence of the use of the Library so that informed decision making can be done to further develop the nursery
**Develop and maintain special indexing systems and files for special collections
**Distribute materials for cataloguing
**Respond to daily on-site requests for information
**Maintain circulation files, records and statistics
**File cards in shelf list
**Carrying out internet searches
**Have effective written communications skills

Remuneration Package
