Description

Back in the late 80’s there was a Qatari lady who was passionate about delivering the British education to the British expats who were living in her country. With all the odds against her she managed to secure a very large villa and get permission to turn it into a school.

Next she managed to persuade a former OFSTED inspector to join her vision and become the principal for this school. A coffee or two later these two ladies put a plan in place to deliver their vision. Over the years they have become the best of friends through their passion for education.

The principal has grown her team over the years and the number of students has grown year on year. Teachers from the UK quickly shared the passion and vision set by the owner and the school very quickly built an amazing reputation.

As time has progressed the school decided to open its doors to local Qatari children also and enrolled local Qatari very quickly. Measures and techniques were put in place to ensure that the students with English as a second language did not hinder the pace of learning for the students who were native speakers of English. Many schools in Doha have learnt from this school in their delivery on this matter with the principal often making visits to other schools to help them implement the same in their schools also.

The school is no longer in the villa but over the years has grown into a campus building and now the school is moving to a brand new state of the art purpose built campus with excellent facilities. A showpiece for many of the up and coming new schools to model their own onto not only in terms of facilities and curriculum but also how two women who shared a passion for education have delivered from a small villa into one of the leading international schools in Qatar.

Qatar. Expect amazing.
