Highly experienced and qualified Headteacher of Secondary Level Needed
Our client is looking for a hardworking and motivated Headteacher to come to Qatar and help continue to improve their current reputation in Qatar as it continues to grow. The ideal candidate must have the below qualifications in order to qualify for the job:
Minimum of 5 Years senior management experience
International experience is highly preferred
MUST have experience of the UK Curriculum
MUST have a degree and teaching qualification
NPQH is preferred but not mandatory for this role
Good rapport building
Stable career
Proven good record with previous jobs
The school was established around 15 years ago by local Qatari’s who were hoping to help the awareness in Qatar of the brilliance that the UK curriculum can inflict on the younger generation in the future. Their mission was to have a total of 1500 students which they have now reached and now receiving a total of around 400 applications from student’s worldwide.
The school is mixed with Expatriate and local students as well as all ages between 3-18. Covering all stages from Early Years up to Key stage 5 the school has equipment to fit the needs of all kinds of students.
Your responsibilities:
**You should have the ability to delegate work effectively and ensure you are following up with teachers ensuring they have completed each task
**You will need to assess the teachers to ensure they are delivering to the best of their abilities
**You will need to aim to raise the level of attainment throughout the whole of the secondary department
**You will need to keep a tracking record of teachers and students attendance and ensure no body is falling behind
**You will need to ensure that all teachers feel comfortable about approaching you about any queries or issues they may be having
**You will need to build strong relationships with all students and parents
**You will need to supervise all teachers to make sure they are making improvement to their departments
**You need to observe the teachers teaching abilities and make any improvements where needed
**You will be asked to ensure that the level of equipment is sufficient enough for the students
**Participate in a regular meeting to discuss the improvements that could be made
