A growing international school situated in Johor Bahru is seeking for an IGCSE History teacher to join them ASAP. This position is permanent and shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a face to face interview at the school in Malaysia.
 
In order to be shortlisted for the interview, you must meet the following requirements:
 
* Bachelor degree or above in History or relevant subject
* Teaching qualification such as PGCE/QTS/Teaching Diploma
* Minimum of 2 years teaching experience
* Experience working with ESL students is beneficial
* Available to start immediately
 
This international school is under an educational organisation in Malaysia. The school provides British style education to students from Year 1 to IGCSE. This is one of the leading school in the city with majority local Malaysian students and 5% expatriates. Students are happy, confident and keen to learn, it is also very rare to have a discipline issue within the school.
 
The sucessful candidate will be responsible for:
 
- Implement the UK curriculum as appropriate to the needs of the students follow school policies and guidelines
- Plan appropriately to meet the needs of all students through differentiation tasks
- Prepare educational materials for lessons
- Ensure all students are supervised and assisted within the school at all time
- Communicate with parents on development, progress and attainment of students
- Maintain good order and discipline in the classrooms
- Participate in parents and school meetings
- Ensure resources are adequate and appropriate

Minimum Application Requirements

Qualification:
Minimum Qualification Requirement: M.Ed, B.Ed or a relevant Bachelor's Degree with a Teaching Qualification
Experience:

Must be western trained (USA, Canada, UK, Scotland, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand & South Africa)
Must be a native speaker of English
Prefer candidates with international experience
Teachers with a degree but no teaching qualification are NOT accepted
Experienced teachers with no qualification are NOT accepted
Non-western trained teachers who have worked in an international educational institute before are NOT accepted

Remuneration Package

Salary Range:
A salary from 8,000 up to 10,000  MYR (Malaysian Ringgit) per month based on experience and qualification, 10-25 % Tax is applied
Housing:
Housing allowance of RM1,500  MYR (Malaysian Ringgit) provided

State/Public medical provided
