A growing international school in Malaysia is searching for career-minded and dedicated Humanities teachers to join their team.  This expanding school follows the UK national curriculum for students from Key Stage 1 to Key Stage 4 ageing between 5 – 16 years old.  This is a permanent position and located in the only 45 minutes from the Kuala Lumpur International Airport.
 
This is a private international school with 600 students with majority Malaysian national and about 10% expatriate students.  The staff is also mixed with expatriates and non-expatriates.  Continuing professional development is provided to ensure staff success and promotion of high quality learning.
 
The school has a large and purpose built campus which provides excellent facilities and optimum learning in a safe and friendly environment.  The facilities include air conditioned classrooms, smart boards, tennis courts, indoor swimming pool, basketball courts, science labs, ICT labs, libraries, art & design room, music room, language lab, multi-purpose hall, auditorium, medical room and cafeteria.

Duties and responsibilities:
 
*Plan, prepare and deliver high quality learning across Key Stage 3 & 4
*Monitor, assess and record students’ learning progress and development
*Organise and assist students in any field trips
*Maintain classroom disciplines
*Ensure parent aware their child’s learning progress
*Participate in parents meeting
*Participate in continuous professional development activities
*Be able to work individually and under pressure
*Flexible and adaptable to new culture

Minimum Application Requirements

Qualification:
Minimum Qualification Requirement: M.Ed, B.Ed or a relevant Bachelor's Degree with a Teaching Qualification
Experience:
2 Years
Type of Staff:
Male or Female can apply to this job
Must be western trained (USA, Canada, UK, Scotland, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand & South Africa)
Must be a native speaker of English
Prefer candidates with international experience
Teachers with a degree but no teaching qualification are NOT accepted
Experienced teachers with no qualification are NOT accepted
Non-western trained teachers who have worked in an international educational institute before are NOT accepted

Remuneration Package

Salary Range:
A salary from 6,000 up to 8,000  MYR (Malaysian Ringgit) per month based on experience and qualification, 10-20% Tax is applied
Housing:
Housing allowance of RM1,000  MYR (Malaysian Ringgit) provided

State/Public medical provided

Contract Length:
2 years contract renewable on mutual agreement
