IGCSE and A Level Chemistry teacher | Teaching position in China | Top British school 
 
An outstanding private school in China is looking for a professional and experienced Chemistry teacher to join their successful team. 
 
This TOP private school follows Cambridge International Examination (CIE) syllabus for students in Key Stage 4 to Key Stage 5 aged 15-18. The whole school is catering for 300 local Chinese national students with high expectation to enter into global elite universities eg Cambridge, Oxford, UCL, Stanford, MIT.
 
There are 40 staff in the school composed of 80% expatriate teachers and 20% non-expatriate teachers. All staff are highly qualified and most of the expatriate teachers are western trained native English speakers.
 
Roles and duties:
 
  • Plan, prepare and deliver daily lessons to students up to A’Level
  • Keep up to date with syllabus and content of the subject
  • Provide guidance and supervise students in all activities inside the classroom and laboratory 
  • Set clear target for students and raise the academic achievement
  • Set and mark homework and examinations
  • Maintain classroom discipline and in good order
  • Participate in parents meeting and discuss their child’s learning progress and development
  • Participate in school and department meetings
 
The school situated at the university area in the city with well-equipped facilities such as library, science labs, ICT labs, gymnasium, multi-purpose hall, basketball courts, tennis courts, football fields and cafeteria.

The city is mixed of rich heritage of ancient historic Chinese culture and landmark as well as the growing Pudong Skyline makes the city a modern and thriving environment. There are many attractions in the city, from museums, ancient towns to shopping arcades and world financial centres. Qualification:
Minimum Qualification Requirement: M.Ed, B.Ed or a relevant Bachelor's Degree with a Teaching Qualification
Experience:

Must be western trained (USA, Canada, UK, Scotland, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand & South Africa)
Must be a native speaker of English
Prefer candidates with international experience
Teachers with a degree but no teaching qualification are NOT accepted
Experienced teachers with no qualification are NOT accepted
Non-western trained teachers who have worked in an international educational institute before are NOT accepted

Remuneration Package

Salary Range:
A salary from 16,000 up to 23,000  CNY (Chinese Yuan Renminbi) per month based on experience and qualification, 10-25 % Tax is applied
