Description

Situated near the beachfront of Abu Dhabi our client is a well established private international school based in the UAE. It continues to use the American Harcourt and New York state curriculum with elements of IB. Across 3 campus buildings it currently has over 6000 students on roll. 1 campus building is not situated near the beachfront but more towards the back of Abu Dhabi near the desert. The campus buildings are large and have a great presence against the Abu Dhabi back drop.

Boys and girls aged from 3 through to 16 attend the school, the majority are local Emirati children and a small number are international students mainly from America. Many of the students who are educated here move onto further education in the USA, the school ensures that the children receive a balanced yet challenging education and social level to help the transition from education to face all life challenges.

As the curriculum taught is American 80% of the teaching staff are from various states. The remaining  20% are Arabs from neighbouring countries such as Jordan, Egypt and Lebanon. All teachers are qualified and have relevant teaching experience. Also as the law states in Abu Dhabi all teachers at this school have a degree in the relevant teaching subject.

Abu Dhabi is the head state of the UAE and are leading the education reform for the country. Recent investment in a vast number of teacher advisors into the country has seen the quality of education gain massive strength. The government are also very determined to encourage more local Arab women to join education staffing and have produced a program for them to be trained by the teacher advisors. The spotlight seems to be moving from Dubai to Abu Dhabi as the financial growth continues to rise here without effort or persuasion.
