Our client is one of the leading international school situated in Penang, Malaysia. This international school is seeking a Key Stage 2 teacher to join their successful team in August 2014. This position is permanent and you will require to teach student aged between 7 and 11.
 
Job descriptions:
 
**To promote learning through stimulating and differentiate activities
**To demonstrate excellence in the classroom
**To plan, prepare and deliver KS2 lessons
**To monitor student's attainment and achievement
**To take part in the school events, trips and activities
**To undertake reasonable task or duty as instructed by the Head teacher
**To promote a confident, happy and positive international community
**To ensure the curriculum is up-to-date and attend necessary in-house training
 
This international school is located in an affluent residential area with just over 700 students. The international school is a accredited by Council of British Teachers and the Malaysian Ministry of Education. This international school offers the British style education to students from Foundation Years to Key Stage 4.
 
The student's population is made up of 75% of non-expatriates and 25% of expatriates with over 20 different nationalities. The teaching staff is comprised of 40% Malaysians and 60% expatriates mainly from the UK. All the teaching staff are qualified and professional teachers.
 
Penang is an island located in the Peninsular Malaysia and has plenty to offer. The city itself has many historical buildings hence make it achieved the world heritage status. Most of these historical buildings were built it in the 19th Century and have been preserved until now. Han Jiang Ancestral Temple, Sri Mariamman Temple, Khoo Kongsi, Cheah Kongsi, Kapitan Keeeling Mosques are among them and there are many more

Minimum Application Requirements

Qualification:
Minimum Qualification Requirement: M.Ed, B.Ed or a relevant Bachelor's Degree with a Teaching Qualification
Experience:
2 Years

Must be western trained (USA, Canada, UK, Scotland, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand & South Africa)
Must be a native speaker of English
Prefer candidates with international experience
Teachers with a degree but no teaching qualification are NOT accepted
Experienced teachers with no qualification are NOT accepted
Non-western trained teachers who have worked in an international educational institute before are NOT accepted

Remuneration Package

Salary Range:
A salary from 7,000 up to 11,000  MYR (Malaysian Ringgit) per month based on experience and qualification, 10-25 % Tax is applied
