SeekTeachers is looking for a nursery teachers on behalf of our client in Singapore to commence in Aug/Sept 2013. An ideal candidate should be a an English native speaker, qualified nursery teacher with experience in teaching PYP or Reggio Emilia approach.
You will be expected to:
- Plan, prepare and deliver lessons for Early Years students
- Monitor, assess and record each student’s learning progress and development
- Supervise and assist students inside and outside the school
- Create and design teaching materials
- Ensure equipment and facilities are well maintained and safe for children
- Encourage students and build their esteem
- Establish routines and provide positive guidance
- Clearly and effectively communicate in a manner that children understand
- Participate in school and parents’ meetings
- Reggio Emilia or PYP teaching experience is ESSENTIAL
This well-established school is under a large education organisation and follows Reggio Emilia approach for students ageing between 2.5 to 5 years old. The facilities include lovely classrooms, library, computer room, music room, art & craft room, dance room, playroom, indoor and outdoor recreational areas.
This is an international school with 250 students consists of 30% expatriate students and 70% non-expatriate students. The staff is also mixed with 85% composed of expatriates and 15% non-expatriates. Staff is continually provided professional development and support in all areas to build forward thinking instructors.
