Our client is looking to reshuffle their Humanities teaching department and will be looking for a teacher of history to ideally deliver up to A' level starting January 2014.
 
Duties will include:
**Teaching history at Key Stage 3, 4 and 5
**Creating resources and preparing your lessons before hand
**Ensure your marking is up to date and on the school system
**Be a good role model for the school
**Ensure you uphold the school values and beliefs
**Be personable to be able to build good working and professional relationships with your students
**Attend parent's evening to provide feedback to the child's parent(s)
**Be a good team player but also able to work on your own initiative
**Report to the Head of Department
**Be prepared to go on school INSET's when needed by the school
**Adapting lessons to meet the needs of non-native speakers of English
**Making good use of AfL and APP in the classroom
**Promoting students good work by putting it in the classroom
**Be able to make students relate to History by having a good grasp of Arabic history
**Undertaking the role of a Form Tutor and supporting students on academic and personal difficulties
**Getting involved with extra-curricular activities
**Taking students on field trips where they are make a connection with History
**Work closely with outside companies to promote the teaching and learning of history in the school
 
The school is accredited by the Council of International Schools (CIS) which should speak volumes for being able to deliver consistent, high level education in the region. In addition at the higher level the school delivers the UK A ‘level and also the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP). Minimum Application Requirements

Qualification:
Minimum Qualification Requirement: M.Ed, B.Ed or a relevant Bachelor's Degree with a Teaching Qualification
Experience:
2 Years

Must be western trained (USA, Canada, UK, Scotland, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand & South Africa)
Must be a native speaker of English
Newly Qualified Teachers are NOT considered
Prefer candidates with international experience
Open University qualification(s) are NOT accepted

Remuneration Package

Salary Range:
A salary from 9000 up to 13000   QAR (Qatar Riyal) per month based on experience and qualification, TAX FREE
