SeekTeachers is a leading recruitment agency seeking UK curriculum experienced primary teachers to teach in the United Arab Emirates for 2014. To apply you will need to have a degree in primary with at least 2 years teaching experience to be considered for this teaching post.
The salary package is up to £2500 per month plus accommodation, medical, visa, flights and more. The school is a busy environment and so you need to be dynamic, flexible and energetic to work at this school.
Students are mainly Emirati but there are expat students there, however it has a mixed pool of teachers which are native speakers of English and western trained. The school now is delivering the International Baccalaureate and so you will be able to gain experience of the IB PYP curriculum which will boost your chances of work as an international teacher. The IB curriculum is the most recognised of international curriculums overseas and once you have experience of this it will help you secure higher paying jobs overseas.
Duties will include:
**Planning high quality primary teaching lessons
**Creating resources that can be used by other members in the departments
**Differentiating primary teaching lessons to meet the needs of your learning
**Catering for SEN and EAL students also
**Working closely with a TA to ensure all your students are learning
**Report to the Primary Coordinator and the Head of Primary]
**Making good use of AfL and APP to see how your students are progressing
**Being a good team player
**Be a good role model for your students
**Assist students in after school clubs and events
**Be well organised and planned
**Be able to meet deadlines and targets
**Have good classroom management skills
**Attending parents evening and providing feedback
**Ensuring your students know which level they are at and they know how to improve
**Keeping up to date with modern teaching practises to deliver high quality lessons
The school is located in Abu Dhabi about 20 minutes from the centre as is in a growing region. Abu Dhabi is developing immensely with many of the cranes that used to be in Dubai now working away to develop Abu Dhabi. Abu Dhabi is the largest and richest of the Emirates and is working towards its 2030 vision to be the best Emirate. This oil rich state will look to outperform its neighbour Dubai and as a teacher you will find the salaries are higher and better.
