Description

Qatar is the first Arab nation to host the Fifa world cup in 2022 and the successful bid has seen a passionate boost in the country to raise the quality and build a new infrastructure to host a great world cup. A new Airport completed ahead of schedule and within budget shows great management and project overview. Qatar is not only investing on its own ground but also on the international circuit. Latest investments in the UK alone include the shard (Europe’s tallest building), Harrods, Heathrow Airport, Olympic park, Chelsea barracks, Barclays and Sainsbury’s.

Our client is an international school based in central Doha. They currently have 1200 students and are aiming to increase this number by another 300 in September 2013 as part of the expansion program. The school campus was designed to facilitate 2000 children but the school owners want to slowly build to this target number.

The school uses the UK curriculum to educate the children in the school. Since the school was founded in 1998 the school have always delivered a UK curriculum as they have close ties with the UK as most of the expats in Qatar are from the UK.

The schools pupils are boys and girls who are from over 35 nationalities. They age from 3 through to 16 and are passionate about education and their future as they have been educated in the importance of a having a clear balance of education and social aspects of life. The majority of the children are local Qatari children and the majority of the expat children are from the UK.

All the teachers at the school are fully qualified and experienced in the UK curriculum. Not all the teachers are from the UK but all have experience in delivering the UK curriculum. The majority of the teachers are from the UK with some from the US and Australia.
