Our client based in Malaysia is recruiting for a committed and experienced educator to join their team in August 2013. This British international school was first founded in the early 90' and has since gained its reputation as one of the leading school in the city. The school follows the National Curriculum of England and caters for children from Nursery to Key Stage 5.
There are just over 1000 students currently enrolled in the school from aged 2 1/2 to 18 year old which made up of 10% foreign students and 90% local students. There are also 105 teaching staff in the school with 50% expatriates and 50% non-expatriates. The school is run by a private local organisation and you will be given plenty of opportunities once you join them.
The school has a large campus with plenty to offer. The school environment is clean, safe and has a large garden. High standard facilities are also provided and there are include WI-FI within the school environment, air-conditioned classrooms with ICT equipment, computer labs, science labs, library, art & design studio, gymnasium, multi-purpose hall, playing field, basketball court, medical room and canteen.
In order to apply you will have to be a qualified teacher with at least 3 years teaching experience (UK curriculum) and English native speaker/Western trained.
Roles and responsibilities:
**Deliver lesson according to the syllabus as agreed by the school guidelines
**Working productively with other school staff
**Provide students with a stimulating, challenging and enjoyable learning experience
**Ensure effective communication with both parents of students
**Participate in school activities and trips
**Attend parents and school meeting
**Assist student with learning difficulties
**Set and mark homework and coursework
**Set and mark examinations
Malaysia is a fascinating and safe place to live and work. The country is a very popular destination for expatriates due to its stable economy and affordable costs of living. The weather is warm and sunny with many attractions. Pulau Langkawi, Pulau Tioman and Penang are famous for beautiful white sandy beaches while Pahang, Sabah and Sarawak are famous for its rainforest, orangutan and are also the home for more than 10,000 different species. To get a view of the modern Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur, Selangor and Johor are definitely a must visit places.
