Our client is a leading school in Dubai, UAE that is coming to London around the 10th of January to interview face to face. The post has come vacant as the school is expanding its student in take. The job will start in August 2013.
You will be expected to
**Teaching Business Studies and Economics to students that want to learn
**Have strong subject knowledge
**Ideally be able to deliver the IB curriculum although this is not essential as training will be given
**Motivate and inspire students for the need to understand Business concepts in this change economic period
**Use an array of AfL and APP strategies to ensure teaching and learning is taking place
**Assess formatively and summatively
**Different lessons to cater for varying need of pupils
**Liaise with support staff to assist students which find the subject challenging
**Be prepared to run after school clubs
**Assist in school trip if need be
**Be willing to undertake appropriate professional development and training as needed to keep at the leading edge of learning and teaching. E.g. Subject developments and new qualifications (IB for example) or specifications
**Report to the Head of Department
**Attend weekly meetings with the faculty
**To assist in the provision and review of appropriate documentation such as Schemes of Work and policies.
**Shadow other Business Studies teachers or be shadowed to ensure there is good practise and consistency in the department
**Ensure the profile of the Department is raised both within the school and the wider community through frequent media releases and internal announcements as directed by the Head of Department or Faculty
