SeekTeacher is looking for a Head of Secondary to join our client's successful team in China. A successful candidate should have the following:
**Bachelor Degree or above in Education/ relevant subject
**Teaching qualification (PGCE/PGDE/QTS/GDT/Teaching License)
**Fluent or native English speaker
**Minimum of 3 years experience in similar role
**Experience of IBMYP/IBDP curriculum
**Strong ICT skills and evidence of integration of ICT within classrooms instruction
**Demonstrated commitment to on-going professional learning
Our client is a private international school situated in the new development area in the city. The school has a large campus and it is well facilitated such as 400m athletic tracks, indoor 25m heated swimming pool, multi-purpose hall, basketball courts, tennis courts, standard football field, auditorium, multi-media room, libraries, medical room and canteen.
This is a fully authorised International Baccalaureate (IB) world school offers primary years programme (PYP), middle years programme (MYP) and diploma programme (DP) to all students from kindergarten to Grade 12. The student population is 850 in the whole school aged from 3 to 18 years old, students are from 30 different countries and 12 nationalities.
Duties and responsibilities:
**Work with the School Principal to ensure that at all time the school’s curriculum provides a safe and supportive learning environment
**Coordinate all IBMYP/DP activities
**Ensure that the school meets all IB regulations and deadlines
**Contribute to marketing the IBDP program, within and outside the school
**Ensure regular monitoring of students’ progress in their IB subjects, keeping appropriate records
**Keep parents informed about their children's progress
**Prepare effectively for any evaluation visits
**Participates with the administration to develop a continuous improvement plan for both the individual teacher and the school
**work closely with the school principal in the day-to-day management of the Senior School
