SeekTeachers is looking for an experienced and professional PYP Principal to join their team in August 2017. The position is based in Wuxi, China and an ideal candidate should have the following:
- Bachelor degree in Primary Education or relevant subject
- Masters degree is desirable
- English native speaker
- Minimum of 3 years leadership experience
- Good understanding of PYP framework
- Minimum of 5 years teaching experience
- Good team leader/player
Our client is an established IB school located in an exclusive residential area in Wuxi, China. The school has a quiet and green surrounding with a large and modern purpose built campus. This international school offers the IBPYP programme children from Kindergarten to Grade 12. The school has about 400 children at present aged between 3 and 18.
Duties and responsibilities:
**Management of school within the spirit of the school's Mission and Vision statement
**Undertaking the professional appraisal of all teachers following the agreed school-wide policy laid down by the Principal and HR
**Benchmarking the curriculum as per IB standards and practices
**Updating the curriculum with ultimate aim of running the IBPYP program
**Development the framework for the Scheme of Work and Assessment Policy
**Supervise the completion of the designed curriculum each year
**Revisiting the Assessment policy each year with staff
**Establishing the purposes and objectives of the department yearly plan
**Planning teaching resources for department requirement
**Recruiting staff with HR and principal
**Establish professional relationship with all staff in the school and fostering their career development
**Lesson observations, checklists, work review of staff
