SeekTeachers is URGENTLY seeking for a Head of Early Years and Primary on behalf of our client in Singapore. This is an International Baccalaureate School caters for children from 18 months to 11 year old. The school offers a truly intergrated bilingual programme throughout its Early Years and Primary classes to encourage students to think and understand concepts in two different languages and communicate effectively.
The school has a beatiful blend of indoor and outdoor spaces. The campus is also facilitated with swimming pools, children's dedicated gardens, ateliers for visual arts and performing arts.
Job descriptions:
**Benchmarking the curriculum as per IB standards and practices
**Updating the curriculum with ultimate aim of running the International Baccalaureate Programs
**Providing all teachers in the School with a strong professional development program including the IB training of teachers in collaboration with the IB.
**Management of school within the spirit of the school’s Mission and Vision statement
**Undertaking the professional appraisal of all teachers following the agreed school-wide policy
** Responsible for school staffing, budgetary and facility needs
**Recruiting teachers in close collaboration with the HR
**Undertaking the provision of all teaching materials necessary for the teachers, in their teaching.
**Meeting regularly with teaching staff and involving them directly in aspects of curriculum design, curriculum review, and behavioural expectations of students.
**Implementing a process of reporting regularly to parents on student academic and social development.
**Developing the framework for the Scheme of Work and the Assessment Policy
**Supervise the completion of the designed curriculum each year
**Meeting the academic standards as per IB standards and practices
**Revisiting the Assessment policy each year with staff
