SeekTeachers is currently looking for a Head of Professional Development and English on behalf of our client in Malaysia. The position is based in the beautiful Malaysia and to commence ASAP. 
 
Our client is a private international school caters for children aged between 5 and 16, offering the England National curriculum. The school is looking for an experienced and flexible Head of English and PD to join their Primary Department to join immediately. 
 
To apply, you must  have the following:
- Bachelor degree or above in Education or related subject
- Minimum of 2 years working experience in a similar role 
- Minimum of 5 years teaching experience at Primary level
- Native English speaker 
- Good understanding of the National curriculum 
- Flexible to adapt into new culture
 
Job descriptions:
**Establishing and exercising a clear leadership and management role in relation to raising achievement for all students 
**Improve the level of achievement for all students, support and challenge staff to develop effective, high quality learning and teaching 
**To take responsibility for co-ordinating and leading deveopments at the school and organisational aspects school of life, as directed by the Head of School
**Lead staff meetings, workshops and activities for teachers and teaching assistants 
**Classroom observation and monitoring of teacher's planning and children's work 
**Create new opportunities for parents to become involved in the education of the children 
**To keep abreast of new thinking and practice, by attending courses and in house sessions 
**To work with and support the Head of School leading and managing an effective Primary school
**To model school policies and practice, to actively promote the aims of the school to offer guidance, support and challenge 
**To lead and develop an effective staff team by establishing clear expectations and constructive working relationship

Minimum Application Requirements

Qualification:
Minimum Qualification Requirement: M.Ed, B.Ed or a relevant Bachelor's Degree with a Teaching Qualification
Experience:
5 Years

Must be western trained (USA, Canada, UK, Scotland, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand & South Africa)
Must be a native speaker of English
Prefer candidates with international experience
Teachers with a degree but no teaching qualification are NOT accepted
Experienced teachers with no qualification are NOT accepted
Non-western trained teachers who have worked in an international educational institute before are NOT accepted

Remuneration Package

Salary Range:
Salary is negotiable based on experience and qualification, 10-25 % Tax is applied
Housing:
Housing allowance of 2,000  MYR (Malaysian Ringgit) provided
