A private bilingual school is URGENTLY looking for an PYP KG English teacher to join them immediately. The position will be based in an exclusive residential area in the city, approximately, 15 mins away from downtown.
 
The school offers a unique bilingual programme (English and Mandarin) to its students and is currently catered for children from 3 to 18 year old. The school has around 400 children at present and still growing.
 
The KG school introduces young learners to and sets the foundation for a dual language and inquiry-based framework for teaching and learning in the IB Primary Years Programme. The nature of the classroom is bilingual with one English and one Mandarin teacher stationed within class. 
 
Requirements to apply: 
- Bachelor degree Early Childhood Education OR equivalent 
- Teaching qualification
- English native speaker 
- Minimum of two year teaching experience 
- PYP training and teaching experience is preferred
- Available to start ASAP 
 
Duties and responsibilities:
- Follow the teaching philosophy of the school and the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Program. 
- Plan and teach considering students varied levels, interests, backgrounds (differentiated instruction).
- Integrate different subjects with the units of inquiry (document integration). 
- Teach using a variety of tools and strategies to actively and creatively engage students in learning. 
- Plan the units of inquiry collaboratively with other teachers.
- Maintain an up-to-date “Teaching Records” portfolio with evidence of student work. 
- Organize coffee/assessment mornings to keep parents regularly informed. 
- Help organize and carry out school curricular and extracurricular activities.

Minimum Application Requirements

Qualification:
Minimum Qualification Requirement: M.Ed, B.Ed or a relevant Bachelor's Degree with a Teaching Qualification
Experience:

Must be western trained (USA, Canada, UK, Scotland, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand & South Africa)
Must be a native speaker of English
Prefer candidates with international experience
Teachers with a degree but no teaching qualification are NOT accepted
Experienced teachers with no qualification are NOT accepted
Non-western trained teachers who have worked in an international educational institute before are NOT accepted

Remuneration Package

Salary Range:
A salary from 3,500 up to 4,500  SGD (Singapore Dollar) per month based on experience and qualification, 11% Tax is applied
