**Nursery Deputy Director
**New Nursery in Qatar!
**Creative Curriculum

SeekTeachers is now working with an exciting NEW nursery due to launch next year and we are seeking an experienced female Deputy Director with excellent experience of the Creative Curriculum to join ASAP!

To apply you need the folowing;
  1. Degree in Early Childhood
  2. An M.Ed in Early Childhood is preferred
  3. MUST have experience of the Creative Curriculum or EYFS/Montessori/Emillio Reggio
  4. Being bi-lingual is advantageous but not essential
  5. Must have at least 2 years experience as a Team Leader/Coordinator
  6. Western trained
  7. Must have a high command of written and spoken English
  8. Tech savvy
To be responsible at all times for high standards of care and education of children between 1 to 3 years in accordance with statutory requirements.
  • To ensure the Creative Curriculum is promoted and delivered within the setting and the principles adhered to.
  • To order and maintain equipment and resources in the Nursery
  • To be responsible for admissions in line with the admissions policy agreed by the top management team.
 
AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
A. Marketing
  1. Ensure that all staff deliver high quality customer service at all times.
  2. Ensure that all staff are trained to have regard for the parents/prospective parent’s needs and information is communicated clearly and positively.
  3. Complete all marketing paperwork, following up enquiries, visits and calls.
  4. Effectively market the nursery in the local community utilizing local events to promote the nurseries image.
  5. Manage and maintain the waiting list.
  6. Devise an action plan to ensure that occupancy levels can be maintained throughout seasonal variations.
 
B. Training and Development
  1. Be professional, polite and positive in all verbal and non-verbal interactions with staff, parents and children at all times.
  2. To ensure the Creative Curriculum is promoted and delivered within the setting and the principles adhered to.
  3. Through regular supervisions identify individual and nursery development needs ensuring these needs are met through appropriate training.
  4. In conjunction with management team provide information on appropriate training courses and learning opportunities.
  5. Ensure all staff are aware of how to access training.
  6. Ensure that funding is authorized and relevant paperwork is completed.
  7. Monitor and evaluate effectiveness of training through staff member’s evaluation after training, following agreed actions to improve practice.
  8. To organize and implement on the job training within the nursery.
  9. To ensure that trainee staff have experience with different age groups and that appropriate learning objectives are assessed and evaluated accordingly.
  10. To ensure that areas for development on Individual Development Plans are worked towards at all times.
C. Health & Safety
  1. To ensure that the physical environment of the nursery is maintained to comply with the requirements of the Health & Safety at Work Act.
  2. To ensure that a daily Health & Safety checks are carried out.
  3. Be aware of and comply with all Health & Safety regulations in Qatar.
  4. Ensure that all staff are aware of their own responsibilities.
  5. Ensure that all security systems are fully operational and access is denied to unauthorized personnel.
  6. Ensure that all risk assessments are up to date, and fire drills are carried out on a regular basis and recorded accurately and promptly.
  7. To bring any problems to the attention of the Nursery Director.
  8. To have clear knowledge of procedures to be followed in case of emergency e.g. Fire, and accident, completing and submitting relevant paperwork.
  9. To oversee all medication administration within the nursery following medication policy.
  10. To assist in the requisitioning for repairs and replacement of equipment.
  11. Operate high standards of cleanliness and hygiene within the nursery.
  12. To ensure that staff carry out appropriate indoor and outdoor equipment checks, checking the garden before each use.
  13. To ensure the nursery is kept clean and hygienic at all times and to carry out minor cleaning duties throughout the day following the Environment Cleaning Policy.
  14. To ensure that staff carry out regular cleaning of equipment and that it is recorded accurately.
  15. Lock up ensuring that the nursery is safely secured and alarmed.
  16. To ensure that equipment and resources used are of suitable design and condition, well maintained and conform to safety standards.Salary Package
Salary Package
  1. TAX FREE salary of up to 10,000 QAR per month
  2. Housing allowance of 3500 QAR per month
  3. FRE Health Insurance
  4. FREE Annual flight up to the value of 3500 QAR
  5. FREE visa 
  6. Gratuity bonus as per Qatar labour law
  7. A 2 year contract which is renewable
  8. Bonus pay on achieveing the agreed KPI's

Remuneration Package

Salary Range:
A salary from 7000 up to 10000  QAR (Qatar Riyal) per month based on experience and qualification, TAX FREE

Housing allowance of 3500  QAR (Qatar Riyal) provided

Flight(s) provided for the Deputy Director up to the value of 3500 QAR
Bereavement Leave:

Contract Length:
2 years contract renewable on mutual agreement
