The Coordinator of Early Learning provides support and coordination for planning, implementation, and assessment of curriculum/instructional initiatives related to improvements in early learning and foundation stage. This position reports to the Elementary Principal and Head of Schools.

Essential Duties

  1. Communicates the vision of the Early Learning Program to allstakeholders.
  2. Assists with the implementation of a broad spectrum of early learninginitiatives.
  3.  Establishes a coherent, collaborative system for the programs and services that benefit children and families.
  4.  Assists with the development and implementation of long and short-­‐term strategic initiatives.
  5. Works collaboratively with community partners to achieve the goal of increasing the opportunity for children to access high quality early learningopportunities.
  6. Managestheday-­‐to-­‐day operations of KG1 and KG2 programs and transition activities.
  7. Builds coordination of services and articulation between the early learning and elementary levels of the instructionalprogram.
  8. Develop and oversee curriculum alignment andimplementation.
  1. Create a learning environment that aligns with school ethos, best practices and Americanstandards.
  2. Assists with the creation and implementation of an early learning program that encompasses the whole child cognitively (academic programs), socially, andemotionally.
  3. Supports staff in developing and improving learning opportunities for students through early childhood curriculum development and providing resources and training to support and improve the implementation of thecurriculum.
  4. Collects and analyzes data regarding the performance and experiences of all students and other pertinent information affecting the design and implementation of services and programs, using the information to recommend new programs and modifications in existingprograms. 
  5. Creates and sustains a positiveand collaborative environment for central and school-­‐based personnel.
  6. Develops and maintains strong relationships with key stakeholders, including families, community providers, partners, teachers, leaders, andothers.
  7.  Supervises assigned personnel, provides assistance, conducts performance appraisals, and makes recommendations for appropriate employmentactions.
  8. Prepare monthly narrative and data-­‐ driven reports
  9. Keeps abreast of current research, theory, and trends, and provide strong leadership
  10. Mode ls and requires the use of leadership practices that promotehigh-­‐performance,ethicalbehavior, collegiality, collaboration, and fairness.
  11. Observes, coaches, models best practices forteachers.
  12. Performs other duties as assigned by the appropriate administrator.
 Knowlegde, Skills & Abilities:
  •  Knowledge of current research, experience with early learning remedial/intervention strategies, and early learning effectivepractices.
  • Experience with procedural guidelines related to Bright from the Start and Head Start requirements; knowledge and experience working with American Standards, curriculum trends, knowledge of current applicable regulations, policies andprocedures.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills using tact, patience, andcourtesy.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing; and the ability to prepare and deliver oral presentations.
  • Ability to analyze situations accurately, and adopt an effective course ofaction.
 
Requirements
  
  • Master’s degree in Education related fieldrequired.
  • Degree in Early Childhoodrequired
  • Teaching license in Early Childhoodpreferred
  • Two (2) years of experience in a leadershipcapacity;
  • Five (5) years of classroom teaching experience, including earlychildhood;

Remuneration Package

Salary Range:
A salary from 14000 up to 19000  AED (UAE Dirham) per month based on experience and qualification, TAX FREE
Housing:
   Housing provided
Medical:
Private medical provided
Contract Length:
2 years contract renewable on mutual agreement
