Our client is located in a growing Emirate and is part of a large well established group in the UAE. They have 3 educational establishments delivering the American Syllabus. The school was established in 2008 and aims to help students be well equipped for college and higher education.
In addition to delivering the USA curriculum the school also teaching Arabic, Islamic Education and Social Studies. As part of their growing success they opened a second campus 3 years ago to accommodate a larger intake of students.
Requirements to apply
**Degree in Education or A Bachelor's degree with a USA State teaching license
**Having an M.Ed is beneficial
**At least 3 years in managment
**Valid Principal license
**MUST be a native speaker of English
**Western trained
**Be up to date with USA Common Core/AP standards
**Able to adapt to the working culture in the UAE
The first round of interviews will take place over Skype so our client can shortlist. Following this if you are successful you may be required to fly to the UAE for a second round of interviews.
As a Principal, the school is looking for someone that:
**Has a proven record for raising attainment
**Is an excellent leader and role model for staff and students alike
**Has excellent up to date knowledge of the New York Common Core Standards
**Ideally has experience of working in the GCC before or in the MENA region
**Has a stable career record with little movement
**Has excellent references from previous senior's
**Is able to engage a school in the wider community
**Is able to engage parents into the learning of their children
**Is tech-savvy to engage and promote the use of technology throughout the organisation
**Is fair and reasonable and able to take critism positively to develop the organisation further for the benefits of students and staff alike
**Is a problem solver and able to resolve matters in a calm, considerate and unbiased manner
Candidates that have excellent grounding with the USA curriculum are required. The school is open to candidates with families.
