SeekTeachers is recruiting for an experienced Librarian to join our established clients in Qatar. The position is permanent and to start as soon as possible.
This is an established international school with a purpose built campus and adopts the English National curriculum and IBDP programme.
The whole school has over 1,000 students at present with over 20 different nationalities. The school also has over 100 teaching staff mainly coming from UK/Ireland with a small number coming from other countries such as USA, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa and Europe.
Job descriptions:
- To develop and implement a library policy which reflects the educational aims and objectives of the whole school
- To plan and oversee programme for monitoring and evaluating library services and performance
- To plan and monitor the delivery of an information skills programme throughout the school
- To assist with the behaviour managements of students
- To undertake any other reasonable duties as requested
- To promote the library and its resources both within the library and the whole school
- To select, acquire, organise and maintain library resources to cover the full school community
- To provide guidance and assistance to students and staff on information retrieval and reading materials
- To be committed on ongoing professional development
