Description

SeekTeachers is recruiting for an experienced and dedicated A Level Math teacher on behalf of our established client in Shanghai. This is a post 16 school with just over 400 Chinese students aged between 14 and 18. 
 
Shanghai is a fascinating city and has so much to offer. The mixture of western and eastern heritage attractions in the city attract thousands of visitors each year. Visit the skyscrapers in the town centre to experience the modern Shanghai or you could head down to the east side of the city to look at the more traditional side of Shanghai. 
 
To apply for the position, you MUST have the following:
 
- Degree in Mathamatics or relevant subject (Grade 2.1 and above)
- Teaching qualification such as PGCE and QTS
- Minimum of 2 years teaching experience in British curriculum (up to A Levels), strong NQT will be considered 
- English native speaker 
- Flexible to adapt into new culture 
 
Job descriptions: 
* Teach strictly to the CIE syllabus 
* Plan lessons based on the published Scheme of Work 
* Meeting with parents to discuss student's progress 
* Participate and help to organise extracurricular activities 
* Evaluate your performance and progress regularly 
* Promote and adhere to school policies 
* Work effectively as an individual and also part of a team
* Demonstrate positive values, attitudes and behaviour to students

Minimum Application Requirements

Qualification:
Minimum Qualification Requirement: M.Ed, B.Ed or a relevant Bachelor's Degree with a Teaching Qualification
Experience:

Must be western trained (USA, Canada, UK, Scotland, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand & South Africa)
Must be a native speaker of English
Prefer candidates with international experience
Teachers with a degree but no teaching qualification are NOT accepted
Experienced teachers with no qualification are NOT accepted
Non-western trained teachers who have worked in an international educational institute before are NOT accepted

Remuneration Package

Salary Range:
A salary from 18,000 up to 25.000  CNY (Chinese Yuan Renminbi) per month based on experience and qualification, 10-25 % Tax is applied
Housing:
Housing allowance of 7000RMB  CNY (Chinese Yuan Renminbi) provided
Medical:
State/Public medical provided
Flights:
8,000RMB  CNY (Chinese Yuan Renminbi) Allowance is provided
Bereavement Leave:
Bereavement leave given
Emergency Evacuation:
Emergency evacuation given
Contract Length:
2 years contract renewable on mutual agreement
