Our client is looking for a strong Female Head of Academics that will make a difference to their teaching team and be part of SMT also.

This is a thriving all girls school in Doha, which delivers the UK National Curriculum of England and Wales coupled with Islamic Values and ethos. If you have worked in a similar setting before or have what it takes to oversee the entire curriculum and review staff and be involved with SMT this role would be ideal for you.

Requirement to apply
*Degree in Education or degree with a valid teaching qualification
*Master in Education
*Ideally 3 years management experience
*Western trained
*Native speaker of English
*Able to integrate technology in the classroom
*Being able to speak Arabic is advantageous

The school is purpose built in Doha for female students that want a private education at the same tim be able to practise their faith and learn islamic values.  The school is well facilitated with excellent use of technology throughout the building

The Head of Academics  wil lbe responsible for overseeing and supervising the general subject department which includes: ICT, Business Studies, Humanities, PE and Art & Design. The ideal candidate should have expertise and experience in teaching or supervising any of the subjects mentioned. 

The department includes 10 staff members to date. The Head of Academics will have the same responsibilities as other Heads of Departments and so will be expected to carry out staff observations, professional development for staff, monitoring of staff, reports and assessments

This role does not include any teaching and so you would be expected to be an Academic Councilor to help students with university admission applications, organisation presentations and visits to universities in order to guide students to attend university or help them into a career.  This will apply only for the Secondary School.
