School Counsellor Job | Guidance Counsellor | Teach Abroad

As a Counsellor your duties will include:
**Providing direct support service to individual students, small groups, and classrooms.
**Completing assessments, referrals, and counseling with students and families.
**Oversees implementation of various Schools program.
**Consult with other professional staff and outside agencies and other organizations.
**Attend meetings with parents when needed and carry out assessments of students
**Develops and maintains family contacts to help support the student
**Serves as a member of the family support team and other school based teams.
**Completes written reports as needed or as requested by Principal.

Other duties as assigned
**Provide direct service to students in the classroom at least once or twice per week.
**Conduct professional development workshop on identifying at-risk students.
**Interview students and families.
**Make oral presentations of assessments and observations.

You need to be someone that already has experience working with individual students or small groups of students.  

Requirements
**Degree in Psychology/Counselling
**Ideally a Masters in Counselling
**Have at least 2-3 years of solid experience
**Must be western trained
**Be a native speaker of English

**TAX FREE up to 15,675 AED per month

Minimum Application Requirements

Qualification:
Minimum Qualification Requirement: M.Ed, B.Ed or a relevant Bachelor's Degree with a Teaching Qualification
Experience:
3 Years
Type of Staff:
Male or Female can apply to this job
Must be western trained (USA, Canada, UK, Scotland, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand & South Africa)
Must be a native speaker of English
Newly Qualified Teachers are NOT considered
Prefer candidates with international experience
Additional:
**Experience of being a Counsellor in the Middle East is preferred

Remuneration Package

Salary Range:
A salary up to 15,675  AED (UAE Dirham) per month based on experience and qualification, TAX FREE

Based on application  fully furnished Housing provided

Bereavement Leave:
Bereavement leave given
Emergency Evacuation:
