SeekTeachers is currently looking for professional and responsible IB Coordinator on behalf of our prestigious client in Cairo, Egypt. This role is permanent and shortlisted candidate will be invited to attend a face to face interview in London by the end of November 2015. 
 
This private school has 2 campuses in the city, primary and secondary. Both campuses are well-equipped with the latest technology and necessary supplies to build students’ learning.  Extensive extra-curricular programmes are offered to help students build an integrated approach to learning to guarantee students are prepared to play their part in society and pursuing higher level learning.  Their approach of instruction is based on the Chinese and UK national curriculum.  They also focus on the best international education practice which encompasses the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme and IGCSE.
 
This is a private school with over 1,400 students in the whole school with majority local Egyptian students and 10% of expatriate students. There are also over 100 well-trained teaching staff in the school composed of 70% expatriate teachers and 30% non-expatriate teachers.   Staff is continually provided professional development and support in all areas to build forward thinking instructors.

Role and responsibilities: 
- Keeps up to date with and informs all staff of IB DP developments and new publications
- Circulates to teachers and students all relevant information received from the IB
- Ensures that all subject areas have access to current IB publications and distributes these as necessary
- Ensures that all teachers have access to the Online Curriculum Centre (OCC)
- Contributes to weekly DP meetings
- Informs the DP team about new courses and options in the DP programme
- Liaises with the Deputy Head Curriculum on staff participation at DP workshops, registers staff for DP workshops and keeps track of professional development in DP
- Ensures that students and parents receive guidance concerning the administration of the external exams
- Supplies after exam support to students, e.g. communicates DP results to universities
- Liaises with the IB and keeps records of communication
- Keeps the Deputy Head Upper School updated on the communication with the IB, students and parents
- Contributes to data analysis, e.g. DP results, internal exam results and student tracking, in this area reporting to the Deputy Head Curriculum
- Supports students with special requirements(illness, exemptions, etc) and communicates the needs to the IB
- Has a role in implementing and developing an online course as part of an ISH DP Diploma
- Ensures that all regulations set by the IB concerning the programme and all procedures are adhered to properly, and that all deadlines are met
 
Minimum requirements: 
**Bachelor degree and recognised teaching qualification such as PGCE
**Have an experience of working in the IBDP and may have even been an IB coordinator
**An English native speaker
**Excellent team player as well as work individually
**Be able to work under pressure
**Flexible, adaptable and open to learning about new cultures
**Excellent IT skills
**Ambition to develop IBDP further

Remuneration Package

Salary Range:
Salary is negotiable based on experience and qualification, TAX FREE
