SeekSeekTeachers is looking to appoint an experienced and professional Secondary Director of Co-Curricular Activities to join our established client in China. The position is permanent and starting in August 2016.
Requirements to apply:
**Bachelor degree or above
**Experience and proven ability in developing and leading a balanced, high quality school activities programme that is both differentiated and sensitive to the developmental needs of secondary students
**Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with colleagues in other departments of the school
**Excellent organisation skills and high attention to detail
**Outstanding interpersonal skills
**Competency with use of the technology including Microsoft Office, survey technologies and web based applications.
Our client is a non-profit private school based in the cosmopolitan Shanghai offering a unique Chinese-English bilingual education program to students from aged 5 to 18.
The school has 2 campuses in Shanghai. Their Primary campus is located about 10 mins away from Shanghai downtown and currently caters for just over 400 children. The secondary campus has over 800 children at present and located approximately 40 mins away from downtown.
The school is looking for candidate that will bring enthusiasm and creativity to the role, open to learning about new culture and flexible.
Role and responsibilities:
- The development and maintenance of all aspects of the co-curricular programme at the Secondary division
- The communication of appropriate information to all stakeholders in an effective manner
- The coordination of meeting/practice schedules for all co-curricular activities, including the
equitable allocation of time, venues and other resources
- Collaboration with colleagues from the Primary Division to promote consistency and continuity in the co-curricular programmes on each campus, as appropriate
- The balancing of co-curricular programme offerings in the four broad areas of creative, active,
service and academic
- The development and maintenance of the Activities Handbook
- Support for the education programme within the co-curricular programme
- Representation of the co-curricular programme in meetings of the Secondary leadership team
and other relevant groups
- Collaboration with the general services department on the scheduling and maintenance of
facilities
- In close collaboration with the Executive Principal, the creation and management of an annual
co-curricular activities budget, including the subsequent allocation of funds to new and ongoing activities
- The implementation of processes for the establishment of new clubs and activities
