Our client is a leading and well established school in Qatar looking for a highly qualified teacher of Geography. The ideal candidate will be able to teach to Key Stage 5.

Requirements
**Degree in Geography/Humanities
**PGCE in Humanities with QTS
**At least 2 years stable work experience (little or no supply work)
**Western trained
**Native speaker of English
**Experience of UK National Curriculum is essential
**Experience of the IB curriculum is beneficial
This school has a very good reputation in the region with very little turnover of staff. Students are warm and friendly. Most of the student are from Qatari backgrounds that want to gain international qualifications to go on to higher education or high achieving careers.
The school is accredited by the Council of International School and also the IB Organisation. It is a member of the BSME and has about 80% expatriate staff at the school
As a teacher of Geography you need to:
**Be able to plan highly engaging lessons of Geography
**Create resources for your lessons prior to the lesson
**Ensure your lessons are well differentiated
**Carry out formative and summative assessment
**Promote your students to ask questions
**Integrate ICT into your teaching
**Set and assess meaningful and measurable homework
**Ensure you have created effective wall displays to promote Geography
**Attend staff briefing and contribute ideas
**Attend department mental meetings
**Attend workshops whether external or internal
**Meet and greet with parents
**Assist with after school trips
**Have excellent classroom management skills
