Seekteachers is currently recruiting for an early years teacher on behalf of our client in Alexandria, Egypt. The school is situated in the heart if Alexandria and has a friendly and safe environment. The school currently has over 600 students with 90% Egyptian dominates the student population. Foreign students coming from UK, USA, Australia, New Zealand, Asia and Canada made up the remaining 10% of the student population. All students currently enrolled in the international school are aged from 3-18 year old.
This international school delivers the International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum. The school has 2 different campuses within the area. One of them is being used as a Kindergarten and primary block and the other as a secondary block. Both campuses are large and spacious and equipped with excellent facilities. The facilities in the Early Years campus include:
- air-conditioned classrooms;
- excellent art and science facilities;
- swimming pool and athletic field;
- outdoor playground;
- ICT facilities
- medical room and cafeteria;
- library;
- multi-purpose hall
You will be responsible for teaching students aged between 4-5 year old on accordance to the IB PYP curriculum. As a homeroom teacher, your responsibilities include using different teaching strategies to deliver lessons and observe students' learning development, you must be able to deliver lessons by using interactive whiteboard and provide classroom that supports the individual needs of the students. Strong community skills is preferable as you will need to build a positive relationship with the students, parents and colleagues.
