An established school in Alexandria, Egypt is currently looking for an English teacher to join them commencing in August 2016. The international school provides International Baccalaureate (IB) education to the 800 students in the school. The students are aged from 3 to 18 years old and consists of 95% Egyptian students and 5% foreign students with over 20 nationalities. The staff are however consists of mainly expatriates with only 30% non-expatriate.
The international school has 2 huge campus. The secondary campus located in the heart of Alexandria while the Early Year campus situated 15 minutes. Both campuses equipped with facilities such as science labs, computer labs, music room, art & design room, air-conditioned classrooms with access to interactive white boards, sport hall, outdoor swimming pool, running track, play area, basketball court and cafeteria.
Duties and responsibilities:
**Implement IB curriculum along with school guidelines
**Make use of textbooks, ICT and other learning resources in an appropriate way
**Monitor students learning progress report appropriately to the department head
**Set appropriate challenges for students according to their abilities
**Work closely with other staff in the relevant department
**Carry out any other reasonable duties given by the Head
**Be a good team player and create a pleasant working environment for other staff
**Ensure the teaching resources/materials are up-to-date
Egypt in a country that has a very rich cultures and long history. The city has a warm climate all year-round, fine sands deserts, wealth of ancient sites that full of mysteries made it as a good destination for travel and work.
