Description

An International school is recruiting a creative and professional Key Stage 2 Humanities teacher to join their team based in Malaysia. You must be a qualified English native speaker teacher with a degree in Education and minimum of 3 years teaching experience to apply for this job. Experience in teaching UK curriculum is beneficial for this position.
 
The international school is currently catering for over 300 students from Year 1 to Year 11, aged 5-16. There are also over 35 academic staff mixed with 80% of non-expatriates and 20% expatriates.
 
This international school follows the UK and Wales national curriculum, and continuing professional development is provided for all staff to ensure their success and promote the high quality of learning.
 
Duties and responsibilities: 
*Plan, prepare and deliver lessons to students up to Key Stage 2
*Evaluate, assess and record students’ learning progress and achievement
*Prepare students for performances concerts, competitions and examinations
*Maintain classroom discipline
*Ensure the syllabus is up to date
*Set clear target for individual students
*Aware of the individual needs of students
*Communicate with parents regarding their children’s learning progress
*Participate in parent’s meetings
*Participate in school meetings
*Participate in professional development training

Minimum Application Requirements

Qualification:
Minimum Qualification Requirement: M.Ed, B.Ed or a relevant Bachelor's Degree with a Teaching Qualification
Experience:
2 Years

Must be western trained (USA, Canada, UK, Scotland, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand & South Africa)
Must be a native speaker of English
Prefer candidates with international experience
Teachers with a degree but no teaching qualification are NOT accepted
Experienced teachers with no qualification are NOT accepted
Non-western trained teachers who have worked in an international educational institute before are NOT accepted

Remuneration Package

Salary Range:
A salary from 7,000 up to 9,000  MYR (Malaysian Ringgit) per month based on experience and qualification, 10-25 % Tax is applied
Housing:
Housing allowance of RM1,000  MYR (Malaysian Ringgit) provided
Medical:
State/Public medical provided
