Female English Teacher
All girl school looking for teachers

Female Teachers of English needed to start before the new years with an established school situated in Qatar. The school are looking for somebody with:

A First degree in English
PGCE, QTS, Teaching qualification and diploma in education
NQT’s welcome to apply
Single no dependants as per client’s request
Knowledge of the UK curriculum

Key skills:
**Be a fully qualified teacher with experience of working in a school environment
**Build relationships with children to allow them to feel comfortable in the classroom
**Make sure that the classroom fun and active atmosphere
**Allow students to become part of the lesson using group work and fun activities
**Assist the Head of Department
**Able to give feedback to parents about the progression
**Strong use of AfL in the classroom

Al Arqam Academy

The school was established in 1996 as a private Girls’ Arabic School, but was distinctive as it included modern teaching methods and a variety of creative development programs. In 2004, keeping pace with education reforms in Qatar, the school changed to an international English curriculum, combined with a progressive Arabic and Islamic Studies syllabus. The school is a fully accredited Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) centre.

Al Arqam Academy promotes an innovative and balanced education program that strongly inculcates and promotes students retaining the tenets of their cultural and religious identity. We aim to create a supportive and caring environment where each girl is known and educated as an individual.

Al Arqam Academy has adapted and enhanced the framework of the National Curriculum from England. This ensures that international standards are met by incorporating the best practises in teaching and learning, but that schooling is useful and enjoyable. In Year 11 students sit Cambridge IGCSE examinations. The Arabic and Islamic Studies programme is paramount and meets and exceeds the requirements set by The Qatari Ministry of Education. The Quran is taught with the goal of developing students' capacity for memorization, proper pronunciation and enthusiasm for learning.

The accommodation provided by Al Arqam Academy is not only in a perfect location but is virtually brand new and immaculate. When the owner of the school built the campus building he also constructed the accommodation building also. A mere 2 minute walk from the school making it ideal saving both money and time for the staff members. Fully furnished apartments all of which are air conditioned and professionally cleaned during the summer breaks.
