Our client is a well-established school in Malaysia and the school situated 15 minute away from Singapore. The school provides British style education to the students from Year 1 up to A Level. The 700 students enrolled in the school at present from Key Stage 1 to Key Stage 5 and they are consisted of 90% local Malaysian students and 10% non-expatriates.
The international school is recruiting for an IGCSE History teacher to join them in January 2016.
To apply, you need to be a fully qualified History teacher with a relevant degree, an English native speaker with at least 2 years teaching experience in History and available to start in January 2016.
Duties and responsibilities:
**Carry out lessons according to the curriculum syllabus
**Assist and supervise students in the laboratory tasks
**Set exam and coursework for the students and mark appropriately
**Meeting with the head of department and report on the student progress
**Update teaching materials from time to time
**Set different challenges according to student abilities and monitor their progress
**Attend department and parents meetings
**Work effectively in a team and support other school staff when necessary
There are over 70 teaching staff in the school who are all qualified teacher with English language background. 80% of the teaching staff are local Malaysians with 20% of them are expatriate teaching staff.
