SeekTeachers is now looking for a Primary Curriculum leader to be based in Dongguan. The international primary school will be opened in January 2016 and caters for children from 5 to 10 year old. This international has a brand new campus and state of art facilities which just completed earlier this month.

- Working with Principal in developing, guiding and reviewing classroom programme
- Support teachers in their roles
- Communicate with parents on the development, progress and attainment of students
- Participate in all parents and school meetings
- Planning, preparing and delivering clear structures for lessons across Grade 1 – 6
- Setting tasks which challenge students and ensure high levels of interest
- Keep appropriate and efficient records, integrating formative and summative assessment into monthly and termly planning
- Ensure all students are supervised and assisted within the school at all-time
This Primary School is situated in Dongguan, an affluent area of the city and has a large ex-pat population (our pre-school has 21 different nationalities). There is a wide range of modern facilities – shopping malls
with all the big brands; a huge number of restaurants catering for all tastes, and a number of park areas for recreation. Transport around the city is readily available and cheap, and the area is safe if the usual precautions are taken. In Chinese terms, Dongguan is a ‘second level’ city, so living costs are relatively inexpensive.
The city of Dongguan is situated in the Pearl River Delta area of Southern China, between the larger cities of Guangzhou and Shenzhen-Hong Kong. Hong Kong and Macau are around two hours away by bus or train, and
there is easy access from Dongguan to all parts of East and South-East Asia. During holiday times the staff can visit Japan, Korea, the Philippines, Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore and, of course, all parts of China. Two major international airports (Hong Kong and Guangzhou) are close by, and there is a bullet train service from Guangzhou to Beijing.
