SeekTeachers is looking to appoint a qualified Primary teacher to join our client in Egypt in January 2016. The position is permanent and based in the capital city of Egypt, Cairo.
This international school adopts the Cambridge curriculum and International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) and caters for children from Early Years to Year 13, aged 3 to 18. There are over 1,000 children in the school with over 25 different nationalities.
Minimum requirements:
- Bachelor degree in Primary Education or relevant subject
- Teaching qualification such as PGCE/QTS
- At least 3 years teaching experience
- Good understanding of the National curriculum
- Native English speaker
- Flexible to adapt into new culture
Duties and responsibilities:
- Plan lessons to meet the individual needs of students
- Identifying clear teaching objectives and specifying how they will be taught and assessed
- Setting tasks which challenge students and ensure high level of interest
- Maintain discipline in accordance with the school procedures
- Use variety teaching methods which keep students engaged
- Consistently and effectively monitor the progress of students
- Participate in professional development
- Established positive relationship with parents, students and other staff
