History Teacher | Teaching job in Malaysia | Start January 2016
 
Malaysia is in the equator zone therefore it has a tropical climate all year around. The beautiful long coastline with lovely sandy beaches, plus luxury and chic resorts attract visitors or even local residents to spend their holiday here. Malaysia has 2 separate lands - the peninsula and the east Malaysia. Both of them have different culture and ethnic with Malay, Chinese and Indian. The range of cuisine and cooking style are also different, people love to try the authentic and high standard of quality food from local hawker stalls, coffee shops and restaurants in the town.
 
A prominent international school in Malaysia is looking for an experienced and dynamic IGCSE History teacher to join their team. This well established private school follows English national curriculum. This is a private international school with 500 students ageing from 5 to 16.
 
Duties and responsibilities:
 
**Plan, prepare and deliver lessons up to IGCSE
**Ensure the course material and syllabuses are up to date
**Monitor, assess and record students’ learning progress
**Positively targeting and supporting individual learning needs
**Maintaining high levels of behaviour and discipline
**Participate in parents meeting and communicate with parents to ensure they aware of their child’s progress
**Participate in department and school meetings
**Undertake professional development to enhance teaching and students’ learning
 
Minimum requirements:
 
- Bachelor degree in History or relevant subject
- Teaching qualification such as PGCE/QTS/Teaching Diploma
- Minimum of 2 years teaching experience
- English native speaker
- ESL/international teaching experience is beneficial

Minimum Application Requirements

Qualification:
Minimum Qualification Requirement: M.Ed, B.Ed or a relevant Bachelor's Degree with a Teaching Qualification
Experience:
2 Years

Must be western trained (USA, Canada, UK, Scotland, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand & South Africa)
Must be a native speaker of English
Prefer candidates with international experience
Teachers with a degree but no teaching qualification are NOT accepted
Experienced teachers with no qualification are NOT accepted
Non-western trained teachers who have worked in an international educational institute before are NOT accepted

Remuneration Package

Salary Range:
A salary from 7,000 up to 9,000  MYR (Malaysian Ringgit) per month based on experience and qualification, 10-25 % Tax is applied
Housing:
Housing allowance of RM1,500   MYR (Malaysian Ringgit) provided
Medical:
State/Public medical provided
