Description

SeekTeachers is looking to appoint an experienced History teacher to join our client's team in Malaysia in January 2015. This is a good opportunity for candidate who wishes to start their international teaching career in the multi-cultural Malaysia.
 
To apply for the position, you will require:
 
- Bachelor degree in History/Education or relevant subject
- Teaching qualification such as PGCE/QTS/Teaching Diploma
- Native English speaker
- Minimum of 2 years teaching experience in History
- Familiar with the CIE curriculum
- Flexible to adapt into new culture
 
This international school is located in a developed area in Selangor and has a purpose built campus. It adopts the National English curriculum and caters for children from Early Years to IGCSE. The school is also easily accessed by public transports and closed to other amenities such as restaurants, cafes, shopping mall and shops.
 
This school has about 500 students at present with over 90% of local students and a small amount of expatriates. The students are hard-working, discipline and keen to learn.

Minimum Application Requirements

Qualification:
Minimum Qualification Requirement: M.Ed, B.Ed or a relevant Bachelor's Degree with a Teaching Qualification
Experience:
2 Years

Must be western trained (USA, Canada, UK, Scotland, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand & South Africa)
Must be a native speaker of English
Prefer candidates with international experience
Teachers with a degree but no teaching qualification are NOT accepted
Experienced teachers with no qualification are NOT accepted
Non-western trained teachers who have worked in an international educational institute before are NOT accepted

Remuneration Package

Salary Range:
A salary from 7,000 up to 9,000  MYR (Malaysian Ringgit) per month based on experience and qualification, 10-25 % Tax is applied
Housing:
Housing allowance of RM1,000   MYR (Malaysian Ringgit) provided

State/Public medical provided
