Principal in the Cairo Egypt | American Curriculum School | August 2015 start

If you have answered yes we would love to hear from you. Our client is an American Curriculum school located in the posh town in Cairo and they are looking for an effective, well experienced Principal that has solid experience of the USA Common Core Curriculum. 
 
The ideal candidate would have experience leading and managing schools in the Middle East. Being able to speak Arabic is beneficial but not essential as the Director of the school is more concerned about a person with solid experience and integrity to achieve and raise overall school performance. 
 
Requirements to apply:
**Have a Bachelor’s degree (ideally in education)
**Have an M.Ed 
**Have a valid Principal license from a recognised state in the USA
**At least 3-5 years of management experience
**MUST have strong knowledge of the USA Common Core
**Ideally have experience of the managing in the Middle East or North Africa region
**Culturally aware of the Middle East etiquette and lifestyle
**A proven track record of raising school attainment
We are looking for strong leader to be able to lead a team of mainly American teachers. As the Principal you will oversee the Head of Secondary and the Head of Primary. You will report to the Superintendent of the school and the Director of the school. The Principal will be responsible to ensure that there is consistency in teaching and learning and teaching are delivering 21st century methods to get the best from the students
 
The salary is competitive including: housing allowance, medical, visa, flights, tuition for children, settling in allowance and annual bonuses based on achieving KPI's.
 
Principal Job Description;
**Report to the Superintendent and the Director of School
**Supervise all school personnel and be responsible for school data
**Be actively involved in recruitment and retention of new and existing staff
**Review existing policies and procedures, update and modify them fit for purpose and current changes
**Carry out in-house school training
**Carry out general planning for the school based on the Directors goals and school strategic plan
**Identified the annual objectives of the school curriculum, extracurricular and athletic programs
**To oversee the school budget, curriculum activities that promotes the education development of students and the professional development of staff
**Carry out school timetabling
**Ensure there is an effective system for school communication and maintains good professional working relationships with students, staff and parents.
**The Principal complies with established lines of authority
**Ensure there is a consistency in teaching and learning that involves the Heads of Department to meet the needs of the school program. The Principal provides opportunities for staff participation in the school program
**The Principal develops excellent links with the school community and outside community to promote the school facilities and create programs that involved the outside community as well as maintain an excellent communication channel
**Maintains and oversees academic and financial records to ensure the school is meeting its expected targets
**TO ensure the smooth running of the school so that it complies with legal, financial and organisations structure of the school system.  The Principal defines the scope or responsibility for Support Staff, SMT, MMT and teachers and creates a plan for interpreting the school program to the community
