IBDP Geography Teacher | Teaching Job in Shanghai | Competitive salary package
 
A prestigious bilingual school in Shanghai is looking for an experienced and responsible IBDP Geography Teacher to join their successful team. This private school offers IGCSE and IBDP curriculum for students aged 11 to 18 which ensure students can meet the overseas universities standard.
 
There are about 55 teaching staff in the school with 70% expatriate teachers and they are all qualified western trained teachers, 30% non-expatriate teachers. The teaching hour is 30 hours 5 days a week and teacher has 6 to 8 weeks holiday per annum.
 
Shanghai is one of the beautiful and fast growing cities not only in China but also in the world. The city is mixed of rich heritage of ancient historic Chinese culture /landmark as well as the growing Pudong Skyline makes the city a modern and thriving environment. Food is amazing in Shanghai, you will not only find Shanghai cuisine but also food from other province and all around the world. Shopping in Shanghai is just like shopping in an "Oriental Paris". There are a lot of designer shops, shopping malls but you can also find fabric markets and tailor shops too, many people loves to tailor-made their own clothes of their choice. Nightlife in Shanghai is also a highlight! Bars, pubs, disco and nightclubs are opened till late. There is a large expat community in Shanghai and it is easy to meet new people make new friends.
 
To apply for the position, you will be a qualified Geography teacher with minimum of 4 years of teaching experience, an English native speaker, ESL teaching experience and have a good understanding of the IBDP curriculum.

Minimum Application Requirements

Qualification:
Minimum Qualification Requirement: M.Ed, B.Ed or a relevant Bachelor's Degree with a Teaching Qualification
Experience:
4 Years

Must be western trained (USA, Canada, UK, Scotland, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand & South Africa)
Must be a native speaker of English
Prefer candidates with international experience
Teachers with a degree but no teaching qualification are NOT accepted
Experienced teachers with no qualification are NOT accepted
Non-western trained teachers who have worked in an international educational institute before are NOT accepted

Remuneration Package

Salary Range:
A salary from 20,000 up to 30,000  CNY (Chinese Yuan Renminbi) per month based on experience and qualification, 10-25 % Tax is applied
