The school is planning on coming to the UK to interview selected candidates face to face with the opportunity of securing there next academic year job. The location is still yet to be confirmed but is planned to be in London and will be commencing on the 30
th of April.
SeekTeachers are now looking for a number of Maths Head of Departments to come to Qatar and continue to implement the UK Curriculum into local Qatari’s students. The ideal candidates should have experience of working with the UK curriculum and should have a minimum of 5 years teaching experience. The candidate doesn’t have to have management experience but it is preferred. All candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and must also have a full teaching qualification. If the candidate has experience of working abroad also this is highly favoured.
Head of department duties:
* Able to lead the implementation of a whole school policy and practice in the development and teaching of Maths
* Able to lead the development of teaching and learning in Maths, resulting in engagement, enjoyment and progress in lessons
* Established high expectations and ensure high standards of achievement for all students in English
* Maintain up to date knowledge of English curriculum
* To engage and motivate others, to set a direction for improvement and ensure confident delivery
* High degree of competence in utilizing a range of data to raise student performance
* Strong personal organisation and administration to meet deadlines and work within school systems
