An international school situated in Malaysia is seeking for a confident and committed IGCSE History educator to join their team. The international school first opened in June 2011 and has been established for over 4 years now with over 300 students aged 5 to 16 year old.
 
The international school provides British style education to their students from Reception to IGCSE. It follows the International Primary Curriculum (IPC) for primary year education and National Curriculum of England (NCE) for secondary year education.
 
The international school has a large, modern and purpose built campus with strict security. The school is well-equipped with air-conditioned classrooms, ICT labs, science lab, auditorium, art & design room, music room, gymnasium, library, outdoor swimming pool, tennis court, athletics field and cafeteria. The school is set in a developing area and is only minutes away from the commercial centre and shopping complex, hence made it a very convenient working location.

Duties and responsibilities:
 
- Plan, prepare and deliver effective learning and teaching programs
- Ensure the teaching material and resources are up-to-date
- Coordinate the preparation of all test and mark schemes in Economics
- Ensure students are engaged in the lessons
- Set challenging tasks for students
- Monitor student's learning development
- Report student's progress to the school and parents
- Liaise closely with the Head of Department on all matters relating to the History
 
The Selangor state is located in the west coast of Malaysia and has the largest population in the country. Selangor is described to be one of the best state to visit and offers many interesting places such as the I City Shah Alam (City of Digital light), Sunway Lagoon, the waterpark, Lipur Kanching Forest with natural waterfalls, Batu Caves and many more. Selangor also famous for its food variation such as the satay kajang (chicken/beef skewers serve with peanut sauce and cube rice) , rojak and burger bakar (grilled burger).

Minimum Application Requirements

Qualification:
Minimum Qualification Requirement: M.Ed, B.Ed or a relevant Bachelor's Degree with a Teaching Qualification
Experience:
2 Years
Type of Staff:
Male or Female can apply to this job
Must be western trained (USA, Canada, UK, Scotland, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand & South Africa)
Must be a native speaker of English
Prefer candidates with international experience
Teachers with a degree but no teaching qualification are NOT accepted
Experienced teachers with no qualification are NOT accepted
Non-western trained teachers who have worked in an international educational institute before are NOT accepted

Remuneration Package

Salary Range:
A salary from 7,000 up to 9,000  MYR (Malaysian Ringgit) per month based on experience and qualification, 10-25 % Tax is applied
Housing:
Housing allowance of RM1,000  MYR (Malaysian Ringgit) provided
