SeekTeachers is looking for an enthusiastic high school Chemistry teacher on behalf of our established client in Shanghai China. An ideal candidate would need to have the following:
**Bachelor degree or above with major in Chemistry or related subject area
**At least 4 years teaching experience in high school with IB/IGCSE experience
**Experience working in boarding school is a plus
**English as mother tongue
**Open-minded, strong desire to learn, excellent team player
**Strong sense of responsibility
**Living in dorm is possibly requested
The school is a non-profit bilingual school based in the cosmopolitan Shanghai, China. The school has two campuses, one being the Primary school with just over 500 students and the other is Secondary campus with just under 500 students. Students are comprised of 70% Chinese and 30% foreign students with over 20 different nationalities.
Duties and responsibilities:
*Responsible for teaching IB/IGCE Chemistry subject to high school students
*To be educational leader in the classroom
*Ensure the curriculum is implemented in a way that maximises student learning
*Execute student supervision duties as arranged
*Being students' tutor
*Participate in school activities, events, parents evenings, professional development meetings etc
*Act as House Parent/Master for dorm duty
*Be in charge of after school or in school activities
*Other duties assigned by the school
