SeekTeachers is recruiting for an A Level Chemistry teacher on behalf of our established client in China. The position is permanent and based in the buzzing Shanghai city!
Our client follows the Cambridge curriculum and is currently catered for students from aged 14 to 18 years. The students are all Chinese and they are discipline, hardworking and keen to learn.
Duties and responsibilities:
*Ensure that all classes are taught according to the curriculum and examination syllabus
*Ensure that marking, assessment techniques and record keeping are carried out in accordance with the school policies
*Assist in the preparation and marking of assessments
*Liaise closely with the Head of Department on all matters relating to Chemistry
*Assist and supervise students on all laboratory activities
*Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of students
*Ensure curriculum is implemented and up to date
*Monitor, evaluate and record students’ learning progress and development
Shanghai (meaning “on the sea”) is a multicultural metropolis consisting of modern and traditional Chinese features. Shanghai population is about 23 million of which 12.1 million live in the urban areas. There is much culture to see in Shanghai with a lot of rich Chinese locations such as the Bund – symbol of Shanghai. It is 1.5 km long and 52 magnificent buildings in different styles and different architectural style.
