Humanities Teacher | Teaching job in Malaysia | January 2015 start
 
We are URGENTLY seeking for an IGCSE Humanities teacher to join our client in Malaysia. This position is permanent and to be based in Johor Bahru, southern Malaysia.
 
Johor Bahru is the capital city of Johor in Southern Malaysia and serves as a bridge between Malaysia and Singapore. There are a lot of historical and modern landmarks in Johor Bahru. Sultan Abu Bakar Mosque, Bukit Serene Palace, Sultan Ibrahim Building are among the iconic buildings in Johor. You could also visit Singapore easily from Johor Bahru as it only takes about 45 minutes drive or on the bus.
 
This is a private international school located about 20 mins away from Johor Bahru city centre and follows the British curriculum. It currently caters for children from Year 1 to Year 11, aged 5 to 16. The school has just over 2,000 students at present and still growing. It has a purpose built campus on a 10 acre land with great facilities.
 
Minimum requirements:
 
- Bachelor degree in History/Geography or relevant subject
- Teaching qualification such as PGCE/QTS
- At least 2 years teaching experience in Humanities
- Experience in teaching the IGCSE/GCSE curriculum
- English native speaker
- Flexible to adapt into new culture
- Available to start in January 2015

Qualification:
Minimum Qualification Requirement: M.Ed, B.Ed or a relevant Bachelor's Degree with a Teaching Qualification

Prefer candidates with international experience
Teachers with a degree but no teaching qualification are NOT accepted

Non-western trained teachers who have worked in an international educational institute before are NOT accepted

Remuneration Package

Salary Range:
A salary from 8,000 up to 11,000  MYR (Malaysian Ringgit) per month based on experience and qualification, 10-25 % Tax is applied
Housing:
Housing allowance of RM1,500   MYR (Malaysian Ringgit) provided
