Primary Teacher
Female Applicants ONLY!!
British international School in Doha
Not many schools in the Middle East can deliver as this school has. One of the original British international schools in Qatar it was established in the late 1980’s to cater for the expat children of the professionals arriving in the country to work on the energy resources.
In the early days the school was based in a very large villa educating a few hundred British students. As the number of expats increased so did the schools demand to deliver excellent UK education, the local Qatari families began to realise that the education this school was delivering was of a very high standard and decided to send their children to this school also. Today the school has 2000 students aged from 3 through to 16 in a brand new purpose built campus. The new campus is designed to facilitate up to 2500 students and the owner has decided that in September 2013 they will ease the waiting list by accepting another 400 students. Hence the need for new educators across various subject areas and levels to join the existing team at the school.
The students at the school are a both expats and local Qatari children. The expats are made up of children from over 30 nations but the majority are British. The pupils have a good drive to achieve as the school has instilled a wonderful learning environment and the teacher’s dedication and teamwork has delivered year on year.
The owner has continued to reinvest in the school as she is very passionate about the future generations and wants to provide everything the teachers need to deliver and also continue to build their careers at the school. The owner and principle share the same drive and vision for the future of the school both academically and in terms of commercial success, their mutual understanding is vital for the school to continue making the strides where other private international schools have failed.
Qatar continues to see a rise in expats arriving with the demand for highly skilled professional continues to rise at a rapid rate. Major sporting events and construction projects are at the forefront of this influx of people to the area. Qatar airways are providing the perfect service to not only visitors to Qatar but to the world because of is great central location making it the perfect stop off.
