Set in the beautiful town of Weimar, Thuringia International School (ThIS) is looking to recruit a Physical Education (PE) teacher to work in their secondary school for a full year covering a maternity leave. Successful candidates will be teaching both expatriate and national students between the ages of 10-16 starting December 1st 2014 and ending on June 30th or December 17th 2015, according to requirements. Candidates are expected to be extremely enthusiastic and dynamic in their role and should demonstrate both a willingness to learn new techniques as well as experience and skill in their subject, they will be working closely with many other teachers and will be expected to take part in numerous school events.
The school offers both the International Baccalaureate Diploma and Primary Years Programmes as well as the Cambridge IGCSE, however it’s important to note that PE is not taught as an exam subject. School facilities relating to the role include a purpose-build gym among other well-constructed facilities. Applicants will be compensated with travel to and from Weimar, full support in finding accommodation, Visa Provision, Flights fully paid for and medical provided. In return, a high degree of skill, good interpersonal skills and a commitment to international values are expected.
