Saudi Arabia has opened its doors and this coming year will have approximately 174,202 places open in universities across the country in 25 universities. After the first phase of student admittal, 213,937 students have been admitted with 54% of students being female and 46% being male.

This first lot of students already account for over 61% of all places available in all universities with the second phase only recently starting. Many universities including the Princess Nourah Bint Abdulrahman University are already completely full, while others still have seats open, such as the King Abdulaziz University which still has almost 25 thousand open seats. Other universities such as the Saudi Electronic University are still completely empty with 18,400 places still available.
